Video Photo Albums: Tips Page
When selecting photos, keep in mind the following:
Choose a mix of photos - some close ups, some group shots...select photos from important events/stages of your life, but only select one or two photos from each event.
Try no to pick photos that are too small or out of focus
Try to pick more horizontal shots then vertical. They fit in a TV screen better. Vertical shots will either be cropped or have black borders.
Quantity of Photos: 25-30 photos generally fit a 3-4 minutes slow song. I can fade out songs when less photos are available for a certain section.
Organizing the order of your photos: Weddings:
Bride growing up
Groom growing up*
photos together
You can select one song for each section above or use one song for all of your growing up photos.
See here for song ideas.
*Another option is alternating the growing up shots of the Bride and Groom, then showing the photos together.
Organizing the order of your photos: Other Events
Chronological: baby pictures, childhood pictures, high school, college, dating, wedding...
Theme based: Examples: Vacations, Mother's side of the family, Father's side of the family, pets, places you have lived, holidays
In all cases, choose your best photos to open and close the video.
